Internship Requirements
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school or pre-pharmacy program
- Strong academic record and a genuine interest in community health
- Availability for part-time or full-time shifts during the internship period
- Professional demeanor and a proactive approach to learning
What Interns Can Expect
- Exposure to daily pharmacy operations and patient counseling
- Learning how to process prescriptions and navigate pharmacy software
- Training in OTC (over-the-counter) product knowledge
- Opportunities to shadow pharmacists and ask questions about career paths

Meet Our Mentor
We are honored to have Jamil Stanekzai, PharmD, PMP, as a leading mentor in our internship program. Dr. Stanekzai is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the VCU School of Pharmacy and has been a dedicated preceptor at Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy for over 10 years, guiding dozens of future pharmacists in their clinical development.
